Labelle Downs (private fishery)
Fishabout can now offer the chance to fish some of the most untouched, secluded and completely private water in the Northern Territory. The barramundi filled billabongs and flood plains of the RM Williams Agricultural Holdings owned Labelle and Well Tree Downs stations, located adjacent to Litchfield National Park.
The landscape includes vast flood plains, high country, coastline, grazing pastures, huge billabongs and the Reynolds River.... see more
Barra and Bluewater in Cape York
Lockhart River is the jewel in the crown of Cape York Peninsula and is the northern most town on the east coast of Australia - remote and wild! Pristine beaches, great fishing, close proximity to the world-heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, bird watching, bush walking, World War Two relics and other attractions make it a place people want to experience. When the barra are on the bite it is wildly insane fishing! The untamed myriad of river systems and the adjacent untouched waters of the Great Barrier Reef offers some of the most exciting fishing opportunities in the world.
Every March/April, the 55ft Reel Chase & 34ft Saltaire Charter operations base themselves at the Lockhart River to take advantage of the wet season run off and to fish for the famous Barramundi amongst a host of others. Endyalgout Island (Mini Mini)
Fishabout is pleased to now offer remote fishing trips to Endyalgout Island, one of the best fishing locations in Australia. (Nestled on the south east of the Coburg Penninsula).
Situated on a shell grit beach under shady trees, are several permanent tropical friendly safari style tents, raised on wooden platforms.
Looking out past the resident Crocodile you can see miles and miles of enticing mangroves, barely touched creeks, rivers, rock bars and channels, all calling your name.
From monster Baramundi up to 130cm, to big Black Jewfish, Threadfin Salmon, various Trevallies, and some of the biggest Golden Snaper to be found anywhere, Endyalgout Island is truly a dream to fish.
