The Fish About Tours team has been put together with like minded individuals and businesses, choosing to remain a small, well managed operation ensuring ongoing personal and professional service. We are all dedicated to delivering the most magnificent locations and lasting memories to all our clients.

The Team

Craig McGill – Owner of “Fish About Tours”, Craig has built up a reputation over 20 years as one of the best professional fishermen in Australia. His Company runs 4 guided fishing boats on Sydney Harbour and he has been hosting clients to North Australia since 1990. He has released several DVD’s including Sydney Fishing and Soft Plastic’s, and is currently involved with the filming of Bass of the World. Craig has helped develop the destination list and guiding program as well as hosting his client base on Untamed Tracks trips. Craig also prefers the company of fish than people.

Mark Hutchinson - Founder and co-owner of Untamed Tracks

Mark Hutchinson – Co-owner and director of Fishabout, Mark runs all travel and administration. Since 1998 Mark has guided and hosted fishing adventures to over 40 countries, building up a huge International network of fishing lodges, guides and locations few Australian’s have been to. Mark is also an owner and director of Ecotraining Australia (www.ecotrainingaustralia.com.au) that is dedicated to the training and upskilling of guides in Australia, as well as building Indigenous employment throughout Australia.

Andrew Darby - Top End Guide

Andrew originally comes from Whyalla in SA where he grew up chasing Big Reds off the rocks, Kingfish and west coast Mulloway.
He then lived in SA’s Riverland for 20 years where the focus swung onto the big Green Fish (Murray Cod) and where he fell in love
with the Murray River.

In 2006 Andrew set up Darby’s Barra Fishing that is owned and operated by himself and wife Sandy Darby.
“The first trip Sandy and I made to Territory there was no bitumen from somewhere north of Coober Pedy through to Kulgera
and you had to pass through Mount Willoughby Station, we only had enough coin to make it to Mataranka but that was enough
to fire up the urge to eventually live in the Top End.”

They now have a permanent camp at Banyan Farm on the banks of the mighty Daly River. Having fished the Top End since 1998,
Darbs specializes in Run-Off Barra fishing, Coastal Blue Water and Billabongs.When the Daly isn’t firing, which isn’t often, Darbs fishes the Mary system and all of her Billabongs, the Finniss River Run-Off and Fog Bay to the Peron Islands Blue Water.

Chris "Stokesy" Stokes joined the Sydney Harbour team in September 2008 and has a strong customer following due to his professional appraoch to guiding and immense knowledge of the Harbour.
