Nick Martin

Nick was born and bred Sydney and spent most of his childhood fishing the bays and beaches of Sydney Harbour. By the time he was in his teens his passion for the outdoors had been well and truly ignited. He first visited the Northern Territory at the age of 14 with a family expedition to Coburg Peninsula. On his first cast he hooked a 1.5 metre Bronze Whaler Shark. Just the tonic to wet a teenagers appetite. The rest as they say - is history!

Eager to pursue a career in the industry, Nick later embarked on a degree in Tourism & Business. In between studies he fine tuned his field guiding skills in the Safari Camps of Southern Africa. Nick has spent the last 4 years working around Australia as a Nature Based Field Guide, Fishing Guide, 4WD Camping Guide, and later as a Field Guide Trainer.

Nick is one of those very lucky people who is able to follow the weather, spending the summer in Sydney chasing Kingfish around the Harbour and the winter in Northern Australia introducing people to the wonders of the Top End whether they be fishing, camping and/or birding. Nick's bush cooking skills are legendary and given the opportunity you must try his freshly caught Barramundi wrapped in paperbark or his chilli mudcrab baked on the hot coals of the camp fire.
